Scrambling is the midground between Hill Walking and Rock Climbing that requires you to use your hands to climb short sections of rock in order to get up steep ground. During this 3 day course you will have ample opportunity to get some true classics under your belt under the careful guidance of one of our experienced instructors. Let us show you the north face of Tryfan, then maybe over onto Bristly Ridge or head for the Snowdon Horseshoe and take in the rugid ridge line of Crib Goch! Then head down to the mountain town of Betys y Coed for some awesome Welsh food. Based out of superb hostel accomodation in the heart of Snowdonia, this is a trip to remember.  Is it for you? This course aims to fulfill dreams. You have seen this classic scrambles in magazines or online and now you want to experience them for yourself under our expert supervision. The course will generally be operating on grade 1 and grade 2 scrambles.  During the 3 days out we will look at the following areas: •Planning a mountain day • Guidebooks, maps and grading systems •Clothing and equipment •Basic scrambling techniques and movement skills •Choosing a safe route and assessing risk •Hazard management •Assisting and safeguarding other party members •Simple ropework for scrambles in ascent and descent Duration: 3 Days Cost: €450 (ex Holyhead) per person including all equipment hire and accomodation.
