If you’re keen to do some Hill Walking and would like to savour the joys of the Irish Mountainside for a full weekend then why not let our qualified instructors take you on a journey you’re sure to enjoy. This 2 day course will include an overnight stay in our beautiful Wicklow residence in a remote tranquil setting where you can fully appreciate all that Ireland's Mountains have to offer. During the course of the weekend you will have plenty of opportunity to gain valuable knowledge about the skills required to become completely self-sufficient in the Irish mountains. The 2 day package includes 1 nights accommodation, home cooked food and a cozy evening with a glass of wine by an open fire.

What we Cover?
This course aims to take you away from the main tracks and trails and explore the mountains of Ireland at your own pace. We will then return back home for a lovely home cooked meal and wine by our log burner. Alternatively we can arrange a nights wild camping rather than B&B. It will help you to develop a better understanding of our fragile mountainous enviroment and give you a real appreciation of what stunning scenery, wildlife, flaura and fauna we have in Ireland.
The course will generally be operating in Wicklow but can be ran in Donegal, Connemara or the Mournes. During our 2 days out we will look at the following areas:
•Planning a mountain day
• Guidebooks and maps
•Clothing and equipment
•Basic camp craft (If appropriate)
•The mountain environment
•Hazard management

Cost: €185 per person including 1 nights accommodation, evening meal and breakfast.
