So you have a few routes under your belt at single pitch venues but lack the experience to move into multi-pitch climbing. This course is designed for you!
7-8 hours of instruction and climbing for climbers with some basic experience who wish to experience climbing in more mountainous and remote locations. This may include multi-pitch routes.
Session includes Rope work skills, climbing and descending of mountain crags including decent via abseil where necessary.
Is it for you?
You have some climbing experience at single pitch crags and want to experience climbing in more remote mountainous crags. Ideally you will have seconded at least 10 single pitch routes of Severe or above and have a desire to progress your climbing.
What we Cover?
The course will generally be operated in a Mountain Crag enviroment. Climbs can range from Severe to HVS depending on client aspirirations, ability and other variables such as weather. During the 2 days out we will look at the following areas:
•Planning a mountain day
• Guidebooks and grading systems
•Clothing and equipment
•Choosing a safe route and assessing risk
•Hazard management
•Route finding
•Stance and Belay management
•Rope skills and techniques
•Decending from a multi-pitch crag
